General Information for School Program

General Information About School Programs

  • All students will be assigned a group lesson regardless of ability.
  • Lesson Length – 1st Timer/Never skied/snowboarded – The students first exposure to sliding on snow will be a two hour lesson. Students will be grouped together as a large group to start the lesson. As the students advance they will move to stations where they will learn additional skills (stopping, turning, controlling speed). Students will be allowed time to practice during the lesson to begin mastering skills.
  • Lesson Length – Beginner, Novice, Intermediate, Advanced – Students will be assigned to a group of similar self assessed students. Schools that are scheduled for multiple weeks, the students will be further grouped based on demonstrated skills. Lessons last 1 hour unless otherwise scheduled.
  • Students must be waiting at the group meeting place at their assigned times. If a student is not present at 5 past the hour, the instructor will start the lesson and mark that student absent.
  • For schools returning for multiple weeks, attempts will be made to keep groups the same as much as possible.
